Yeast Infection- natural remedy-tea tree oil?

I took an antibiotic for an infection (not related to female health) and it not only killed the bad bacteria- it killed the good bacteria too….now, I have a yeast infection!

that tree tea oil is wonderful for yeast infections.
I am not sure about this-but I was willing to give it a try. Has anyone ever used tea tree oil and does it really work for vaginal yeast infections? Are there any side effects of using tea tree oil (other than the slight burning)?
How long should I continue to use this? I was thinking two days may be three days at the max. Does it kill the yeast or would I have to resort to the over-the-counter remedy like Monostat?
Any advice from a nurse or doctor would be great. If anyone has any information about the natural side of remedies-please let me know.
I am not into natural remedies-but I do believe that they can work for some people.

I too was a victim of antibiotics! They definitely wreck havoc on your immune system and cause all types of other problems, including yeast infections.
I tried a variety of treatments. First I tried monistat and the infection kept coming back. Then I went to the Dr, and tried diflucan and gynelotrimin and that helped for a while but then the infection kept coming back. Then I tried tea tree oil suppositories and that worked pretty good. But one thing that gave me the best and lasting results was garlic.
Garlic is one of natures’ anti-fungal remedies and it worked wonders for me. I used cloves of garlic wrapped in gauze and inserted maybe an inch or two into the vagina. Inserted with enough of the gauze still hanging out for safe removal. I would insert a new clove every 3-4 hours. I did this for about five days. The itching went away almost immediately. Also if you mash the garlic a little it help to release the juices. Not too much because then it will burn.
I had to recommend because I was suffering from almost constant yeast infections, maybe 12 per year. Now it has been about 8 months with no infection. I am sooo happy about that.
Another major thing is to watch your diet. Too much sugar, soda and sweets might also be contributing to your problem. Among other things. Well, good luck to you.

Yeast Infection: Symptoms -
Intense genital itching.
Inflammation and redness in the external genital area.
White, curd like, or thick vaginal discharge that may small “yeasty” (similar to bread) or is odourless.
The organism responsible for the majority of yeast infections, Candida albicans, is normally present in the body in small and harmless amounts. Under certain conditions, however, yeast multiplies rapidly and causes uncomfortable symptoms. Like most fungi, Candida albicans thrives in warm, moist areas, such as the vagina. Other species of Candida may also contribute to yeast infections.
What Causes It - Anything that disturbs the normal balance of yeast and bacteria or the pH (acid/base) level in the vagina can create ideal conditions for yeast to grow uncontrolled. The normal vaginal environment can be upset by something as simple as the wearing of tight jeans or nylon underwear. The risk of yeast infections is also increased by hormonal changes during pregnancy, by the use of birth control pills or spermicides, or by diabetes.
How Supplements Can Help - Begin taking the supplements at the recommended dosages from the time you first notice symptoms until the infection is gone. Except for the suppositories, they all can be used in combination with prescription or over-the-counter yeast treatments. Strengthening your immune system with vitamin C and echinacea helps your body fight an acute yeast infection. The herb echinacea seems to stimulate white blood cells to destroy the yeast, and vitamin C may inhibit yeast growth. If you are susceptible to yeast infections, take echinacea for three weeks, stop using it for a week, and then resume; use for six months along with vitamin C and acidophilus .
Vitamin C: 1,000 mg 3 times a day. Reduce dose if diarrhea develops.
Echinacea: 200 mg 3 times a day.
Use in a cycle of 3 weeks on, 1 week off, for recurrent infections; standardized to contain at least 3.5% echinacosides.
Acidophilus: 1 pill twice a day orally or as a suppository. Get 1-2 billion live (viable) organisms per pill. Can insert oral pill into vagina; discontinue after 5 days.
Bifidus: 1 pill twice a day. Use a supplement that contains 1-2 billion live (viable) organisms per pill.
FOS : 2,000 mg twice a day. Use in combination with acidophilus and bifidus.
Tea Tree Oil : Insert suppository into vagina every 12 hours for 5 days. Available in health-food stores.
Vitamin A/Calendula: Insert suppository into vagina every 12 hours for 5 days.Available in health-food stores.
Warnings - Tea tree oil is for topical use only. Do not ingest; it can be toxic. Keep it away from eyes.

Acidophilus works for me, I’ve never tried the tea tree oil…

Yes, Tea Tree oils is a natural antiseptic; It is intended for external use only!! It is not meant to treat yeast infections, and will only irritate your private more. If you are using it now, STOP! Get to the Dr. and get a prescription. Otherwise you can treat it naturally with some great natural medicines. There is a link below if you want to look into natural medicine and how you can use them to your benefit.

Oxygen drops. You can find them on line. Virus’s and yeast cannot live with oxygen in your blood like that.
I have not had one sinse I started using it and my herpes has not broken out sinse i started using them either!!! they are anti viral, anti yeast… the drops are.
SERIOUSLY. I also had problems with urinary tract infections all the time……NOT ONE sinse I have been using the drops.
